What is the scope of business in Essential Oils? Which is the best place to buy Essential Oils?

The market of fragrances and aromatic chemicals is huge across the world. It has been noticed that the large scale availability of scented shower gels, hair shampoos, and body care products has reduced the overall sales of fragrances. Essential oils are the key ingredients of these scented products especially when the manufacturing company is dedicated to organic products. Moreover, the direct sales of essential oils to have increased as people are getting aware of the numerous benefits of essential oils and aromatherapy. Some experts say that classical aromas and fragrances will remain in business for a long time but their composition will be changed as the chemicals will be replaced by essential oils. Over a period, people might realize that it is better to create homemade perfumes using essential oils rather than buying expensive ones from the shops. This means that the direct sale of artificial perfumes might decline in the future whereas the demand for essential oils will go since it has got no alternative yet. Fine fragrances are getting expensive day-by-day and their manufacturers are trying to change the composition of established fragrances by experimenting with the top and base notes with different essential oils. People are complaining of the skin allergies they have to face after using chemically-based fragrances and deodorants. As a result, the demand for essential oils is not going to decline anytime soon. Right now, manufacturers are not using essential oils on a large scale in fragrance making since the ones which are obtained from natural sources are quite expensive. However, there is no replacement for natural essential oils in aromatherapy. Regions that have abundant natural resources can try to reduce their prices by growing the plants, herbs, and roots that yield essential oils on a large scale. Countries like India, Australia, Egypt, etc. that have extensive natural resources that are required for producing essential oils can reduce their import duty so that the other countries can too indulge in large scale production of essential oils. Homemade Holiday Week: Making perfume with essential oils

All of us wish to smell fresh and energetic throughout the day irrespective of our busy and hectic schedules. Therefore, perfumes and deodorants have become one of the essential commodities of our lives. However, the regular perfumes and deodorants that we use are made from chemical compounds. Many of these chemicals are harmful to your skin and might even be the cause of irritation, itching of the skin, rashes, redness, etc.

Some of the local companies claim to make natural scents and perfumes but we cannot trust them since they are in the market to earn profit by selling cheap items. Therefore, it is a great idea to create your perfumes with the help of natural ingredients like essential oils.

Today we will see how to make cool and refreshing homemade perfumes that are not only aromatic but also safe for your skin and overall health.

Things that you should know

Essential oils are concentrated and powerful enough to create a burning sensation or rashes if you use it directly. Therefore, do not forget to dilute it with carrier oils before applying it directly to your skin.

All the essential oils do not necessarily produce pleasant aromas. Some of them can create a strong pungent smell that can make your DIY perfume smell awful. Some oils create a sense of nausea while some of them might not have any particular smell at all.

Also, different people have different preferences and favorites when it comes to perfumes. Therefore, we recommend you to blend these fragrance oils in an essential oil diffuser before combining them in a vessel.

Quality of oils make a major difference as the oils that contain impurity will spoil the chemical composition of your perfume. Therefore, always opt for aromatherapy oils that are 100% pure and natural.

Caution:

People who are prone to skin allergies and those who are suffering from skin ailments like psoriasis, eczema, etc. must seek the permission of a doctor before using the perfumes made from essential oils. Pregnant women must also consult a doctor before applying these oils as perfume.

How to make homemade perfumes?

It is very simple to make homemade perfume. Keep in mind that perfume is made up of multiple notes. The top note defines its fragrance that you experience while applying it. The middle notes maintain its aroma for a long time while the base note creates its final essence. Therefore, you need to use essential oils accordingly.

Follow these steps while making a DIY natural perfume:

Step 1: Use sterilized glass bottles or containers to mix these aromatherapy oils. Let them dry for some time and afterward fill a sufficient quantity of carrier oils or clear alcohol like vodka.

Step 2: Pour the essential oils that you want to use for the base notes first. Base notes should ideally have a strong and sustaining fragrance. Fragrance oils like Frankincense oil, Cedarwood oil, Clove, Cinnamon, etc. can be used for base notes.

Step 3: Middle notes sustain for the longest time and therefore you must use the oils accordingly. Cardamom, Cypress, Geranium, etc. can be used for middle notes.

Step 4: Top notes fade quickly but are noticeable and strong enough to refresh your mood. Lavender oil, Eucalyptus oil, Bergamot oil, Grapefruit oil, etc. can be used for top notes.

Step 5: Use a little more vodka or carrier oil if required for diluting the perfume. Set it aside for at least a week or two so that all the oils blend perfectly.

Step 6: Your DIY perfume is ready to be used now!

Benefits of using natural ingredients for making homemade perfumes

Natural ingredients like essential oils not only have a pleasant fragrance but they also provide other benefits to your skin. Most of them have a calming effect and soothe your mind, soul, and body.

They are skin-friendly and do not react when applied to your skin. Some of them provide relief from stress, anxiety, hypertension, and other issues. Therefore, they are also good for your overall health and wellness.

Handmade by an Expert for Her Baby, These Soaps Are Just What Your Skin Needs

Most of the baby soaps that available in the market today contain artificial fragrances, synthetic colors, and additives. These chemicals might prove to be harsh for the tender and sensitive skin of your baby. Therefore, you need to ditch such soaps and try to make your baby soaps, shampoos, and body washes that are ideal for all types of skin. Also, a homemade soap with soap base can prove to be perfect for those who have sensitive skin.

Let us start with a simple oatmeal baby soap that is infused with natural herbs and some essential oils.

Ingredients

Olive Pomace oil

Chamomile herb - 2 tablespoons

Round soap mold

Shea butter

Castor Oil

Sodium hydroxide Lye

Distilled water

Bentonite Clay – 2 teaspoons

Colloidal Oatmeal – 2 teaspoons

Sodium lactate – 1 teaspoon (Optional)

Procedure

Here, we are trying to make a baby soap that is not only suitable for babies but also for the people who have sensitive skin. The key ingredient of this soap is Olive Pomace oil which contains the last drops extracted from the pulp that has already been used to extract the virgin oil.

Chamomile herb is infused in this soap due to its aromatic scent and numerous skin-friendly properties. Measure 14.5 Oz of Olive oil and pour it into a double boiler. Now, measure 2 tablespoons of Chamomile herb and add it into a sealable tea bag. Seal the teabag carefully and immerse it in the Olive Pomace Oil.

Keep it over medium flames for at least 2 hours and see to it that the oil does not get too hot. Add some extra Olive oil if necessary. Stir after every 15 to 20 minutes so that the oil gets absorbed completely in the teabag.

After that, remove the teabag and turn off the heat. Now take a glass jar or bowl and add 2 teaspoons of Bentonite Clay in 4 tablespoons of distilled water. It makes our organic handmade soap smooth and velvety.

In another vessel put 2 teaspoons of colloidal oatmeal. Do not use any artificial fragrance or preservatives as they can prove to be harsh for your skin.

However, you can add essential oil as per your preference to make your handmade soaps smell wonderful. Lavender essential oil or Chamomile essential oils are recommended due to their relaxing properties.

Caution:

Use longhand glows and goggles while making this soap to ensure safety and to protect your eyes. Choose an area that has enough ventilation while making handmade soaps and ensure that kids are not around you.

Now, combine Shea butter, Chamomile infused Olive oil and castor oil in a big container. Also, measure 1.9 oz of Lye and pour the oil mixture on it. You can also add one teaspoon of sodium lactate in this blend to facilitate the hardening process and it also acts as a preservative. However, the use of sodium lactate is completely optional.

After that, use a manual stick blender to stir and mix the oils properly with the Lye. Continue blending the oils for some minutes until they get completely infused in one another.

Now, add the colloidal oatmeal and other mixture you have made using the Bentonite clay and teabag. Stir and blend the mixture using the stick blender again.

Pour the combined mixture in soap molds and let them dry for at least a week. Remove them carefully from the molds after a week and your organic handmade baby soaps are ready to use.

Benefits

Olive oil stops the aging of the skin and acts as a natural moisturizer whereas Chamomile is known for its antibacterial, antiseptic, and anti-inflammatory properties. It also reduces skin irritation to a great extent. As a result, your handmade soap will include all these skincare properties and therefore, will be an excellent soap for individuals who have sensitive skin.

What is Shea Butter? Benefits, Uses, and products to try

Shea butter is a natural fat that is yielded from the nuts of the Shea trees. It is off-white and remains in a solid-state even when the room temperatures are warm. You will find these trees in the West African region and the Shea butter based products that you find in the stores and malls mostly come from the same region.

Benefits of Shea Butter

Skin healing properties

It is rich in vitamins and fatty acids and low in proteins that make it perfect to be used in cosmetic products. Recent studies have suggested that it has anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory properties as well. Therefore, it can provide relief from the irritation or inflammation of the skin caused by skin diseases such as eczema without any side effects.

Slows down the aging process

The abundance of Vitamin A and E promotes anti-oxidation which keeps the free radicals away from the skin cells. Free radicals make your skin appear listless and dull which can fasten the aging process. Therefore, Shea butter has exceptional anti-aging properties.

Restricts the oils

Shea butter is rich in oleic and linoleic acids. These acids hold each other and restrict the oils to reach to your skin pores. As a result, it gets nicely absorbed in the skin and your skin does not look after applying Shea butter.

Protects your skin

It is a natural moisturizing agent as it contains many fatty acids. These acids restore the lips and moisturize the skin completely. This moisture acts as a shield between the external environmental factors such as dust, sunlight, dirt, etc. and your skin and minimizes the risk of dry skin.

Suitable for all skin types

Shea butter is suitable for all the skin types as it does not contain a high amount of protein as compared to the other tree nut extracts. As a result, there are no chances of the formation of skin allergies after its application. Also, it is chemical-free and therefore does not make the skin dry.

Moreover, the skin pores do not clog after the application of Shea butter. All these properties make it a perfect cosmetic ingredient for all skin types.

Healthy for hair

It is not only healthy for the skin but offers numerous benefits to your hair as well. It makes your hair naturally strong and reduces the rate of hair breakage. It also moisturizes the scalp which helps you to minimize the hair dandruff.

Other benefits

Shea butter provides several other benefits to the skin. It increases the production of collagen which reduces the fine lines and makes the skin soft and supple. Moreover, its special chemical composition reduces the formation of acne as well. It has skin regeneration properties which makes it good enough to heal wounds and cuts.

How should I use it?

The best form of Shea butter is its unadulterated, unrefined, and raw form as it provides the maximum benefits. You can remove some butter with a spoon to apply directly to your skin or hair. To maintain the solid-state of the raw Shea butter you need to store it in a place that is cooler than the room temperature. You can keep it in the fridge if the climate is too hot but do not place it in a deep freeze.

However, not everyone has access to raw and unrefined Shea butter. In such cases, you can try these products which are rich in Shea butter.
